Letter from a soldier

Dear Mum

We have finally arrived in Gallipoli . It is completely different from home . I am in a tent with 4 other people. By now over 1ooo people died fighting in honour for New Zealand. I hear people screaming, I smell gun powder,  I see people dying. I ran out the tent a got shoot in the leg. I had to go on a donkey the donkey took me to a boat. The boat took me to Eygpt and there was a hospital. A nurse walked me into the hospital, she took care of me.

how to survive a tornado

A tornado is like a spinning top but bigger and made of hot and cold air.
First you have to get a first aid kit because someone might get hurt.
Then you have to go to your basement (or someone else's basement) because you might get blown away.
Finally you need food and water because  the supermarket might get blown away and the water might get dirty.
Tornadoes are very dangerous and can do lots of damage.
